Krupa Ge is a writer, editor and columnist from Madras.
Her award-winning column Ms. Representation, on women in cinema, appears in The New Indian Express, every Wednesday.
Her reportage and cultural writings have appeared in publications such as The Hindu, The Caravan, The Wire, Firstpost, Ladies Finger, The New Indian Express etc, over the last ten years. Her short fiction has appeared in Voices from the Attic, Scroll, Sahitya Akademi’s Indian Literature, Muse India, Blink Ink, among other Indian and international publications. She was a Consultant Editor for Economic & Political Weekly’s ‘Postscript’ section. Between the years 2014 and 2018 she founded and edited an online indie literary magazine called The Madras Mag.
She was presented a Laadli Media & Advertising Award for Gender Sensitivity for her column, Ms. Representation, for the year 2017. She was awarded a Jayanti Residency for the year 2017 and was in the longlist of The 2017 DNA Out of Print Short Fiction competition. She was awarded the Toto-Sangam Residency Fellowship 2016 and shortlisted for a Toto Prize in Creative Writing, the same year.
